This is a notice to employees of “Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization”, sent out a couple of months ago. It specifically addresses those who work in the “Herasat” division – Herasat is the “Conservation” division, responsible for safeguarding Islamic values. It’s roughly saying the following:
“Following previous discussions with single employees regarding establishing a family and following the traditions of the prophet (peace be upon him), unfortunately we have noticed some said employees have not kept their promise, and have remained single. Since marriage is a prerequisite for employment in a division such as Conservation, and according to the cherished words of the esteemed prophet of Islam (some Arabic stuff), “He who gets married hath journeyed halfway to salvation, and wedding and marriage is my legacy, and those who turn from my legacy are not of me”, this is the final notice to our single employees, be they male or female, that they have until the end of Shahrivar 1387 (August 2008), to embark on this important and ethical endeavor. Otherwise they will be reported to the contractor on 01/08/1387 (September 2008), for dismissal.”
