Bluehosted – update

Finally, after almost a month I heard back from Bluehost.  Better late than never, ‎especially if it’s excellent news.  I had written a letter to Matt Heaton asking for help in ‎getting information regarding Bluehost’s decision to shut out people in sanctioned ‎countries from their hosting service (here’s the post), and he finally answered.  To tell you the truth I had ‎given up hope on getting a response from him and wasn’t in the mood for becoming a ‎pest.  But he proved to be the well-mannered gentleman they say he is and I’m glad I ‎didn’t make a fool of myself.  I won’t get into the details about how and why Bluehost ‎got to the point they did and switched off websites belonging to unsuspecting citizens of ‎the underworld.  Let bygones be bygones. Instead I’ll focus on the good news.  He ‎redirected me to someone in their legal department and it looks like there is going to be ‎some changes made to their policies very soon.  This guy says that according to ‎Presidential Executive Order 040109 all sanctions imposed on Iran shall be lifted.  Barak ‎Obama’s recent new years greeting to Iranians and their leaders especially, which sat well ‎with Ali Khamenei, got the two men to shake hands on the deal.  Of course this is all ‎hush hush for now but I don’t care, let the news break.  ‎
The long term effects of this move on our leaders is quite clear, but as for how this would ‎affect us citizens, let me tell you that Bluehost will be offering free lifetime no-limit ‎hosting to all Iranians.  They’ll be putting a link on their site by next week for people to ‎register and provide proof of citizenship.  How’s that for owning an Iranian passport now, ‎eh? Respect.‎
Now I feel bad for others who were in the same boat with me. I will be writing a letter to ‎President Obama today to ask him to include The Balkans, Belarus, Burma, Cote d’Ivoire ‎‎(Ivory Coast), Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, former Liberian Regime of ‎Charles Taylor, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and Zimbabwe in his next new year address ‎so that they would get a good deal from Bluehost too.‎
