Ran into this gem recently. It’s a yearly publication by the Association of Public Relations Specialists of Iran. PR is generally understood as a propaganda tool in Iran, especially by the government, and hence is among the industries that require a special permit from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. But we don’t want to talk about that today. This issue is from a couple of years ago. Among the offal they put out about PR, let’s just look at the middle announcement on this particular page:
“The first volume of ‘Public Relations in the Koran’ is now published. In Lorestan, Ali Ghodrat Najafi – author of the book – mentioned: In 300 pages and 3 parts, this book explores topics such as Public Relations in the West, Ayahs (verses) from the Koran related to Public Relations, along with inferences from their interpretations and translations. An educator at Khorram Abad’s University, he added: Whereas at most, there are 500 definitions of Public Relations in the West, one can extract and articulate thousands of definitions regarding this from the Koran.”
